Moon Walk

The moon has landed on earth.
God has given me a second chance - a re-birth
Though I was ready for a painful wait
Someone decided it would be too late.

The moon arrived with not much fanfare
But everyday since then has been
like the heaven is right here.
Happy and peace as a teen.

Your face, etched deep inside my eyes
memories wired to my brain and
feelings channeled to my heart.
anything for you in a heart beat.

Short walks down the road
plate full of spicy food
cold breeze on the face
short but meaningful gaze
are ever lasting memories.

You are the moon of the earth
The only one with all the worth
You are the brightness of my life
You will be all that I love.
